It is an undeniable fact that historic buildings are the greatest assets of a country or city. Surprisingly, some people want to tear them down and replace them with modern buildings. It is completely unacceptable. Historic sites always exhibit our old civilization and glorify our ancestors and their creations.

To support our historical buildings, we should maintain them like our homes, as they represent the history of that city or country. For example, the Taj Mahal in India is the world's seventh wonder. It is a symbol of true love and a great source of inspiration. It took several years to build this beautiful site. It teaches us many different things, such as which materials are used, what technology is used, how it was built over those many years, etc. These are learning lessons for the current and future generations. People can study them and build a new masterpiece.

Furthermore, these sites help generate revenue for the local authority. Similarly, there is Durbar Square in Kathmandu. Many foreign tourists visit to see this marvelous structure throughout the year. Such types of buildings attract more tourists, so a country’s tourism sector gets a boost.

To sum up, in a few words, all historical buildings must be protected. No new buildings can substitute for the historical buildings. We always feel proud of having those historical buildings. These buildings reflect the glory of our ancestors.
