EDUCATION FOR ONE AND ALL By Atal Chhetri

EDUCATION FOR ONE AND ALL

There has been a perpetual argument about whether the government of a country should provide education for every single citizen of the country. Educated people are the backbone of the all-round development of any country. However, it is the moral responsibility of the government to educate all its citizens.

Skilled manpower always plays a supportive role in giving impetus to the national economy. Their contributions lead nations to prosperity. These people are highly creative; hence, they are extremely productive as well. On the other hand, education will help reduce the unemployment rate in the country. Decreasing unemployment means more people are engaged in productive activities. This will further help the country increase its overall Gross Domestic Production (GDP). Thus, the light of education must spread to every nook and cranny.

Take the example of any developed nation, and it is evident that behind every successful country, the collective efforts of skilled manpower have always played a key role. Therefore, the government should try to provide quality education to its citizens. More skilled manpower means more development in the country.

That’s why I opine that education must be spread to all corners of the country. Compulsory higher education for all citizens will take the country one step ahead in the race for economic development.
