THE WORLD HAS BECOME MUCH NARROWER TODAY THAN EVER BEFORE

Nations are becoming more and more similar today in many ways. Let’s take an example. People can purchase similar products anywhere and everywhere on the globe. Therefore, nowadays, people feel at home even if they are miles away from their homes.

Nations seem to be similar, as individuals don’t find themselves strange no matter which country they visit. They find more or less familiar things around them. This brings a sense of belonging and comfort to them. Due to the nature of today’s international market, the whole world has become much more familiar with each other than ever before.

I appreciate such modern developments. It has helped maintain standardization across the world. Without standardization, the concept of international trade can never exist. Because of international trade, one country’s demand is no different from that of other countries. Due to international trade and interdependency, almost similar products are being circulated across the world. This way, demand and supply can be easily met at the international level.

International trade has also brought people from different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds together on one platform. Now people know each other better than in the past. People don’t find themselves strange, no matter which country they visit or who they host. Almost everyone is familiar with each other’s social customs.

When similar things are available all over the world, nowadays visitors don’t carry their favorite brands or other paraphernalia with them. Why carry such items when they are easily available everywhere? Such an economic facility has widely promoted international tourism. International tourism is always beneficial for all countries, poor or rich. All countries will benefit equally from international tourism.

It is an undeniable fact that nowadays, whenever we travel within or out of a country, we don’t carry many things with us. Why? Its simple answer is that such things are easily available wherever we go. Thus, in my opinion, the ongoing process of standardization is a positive exercise, and this practice will make this world a better place to live in.
