Over the past few years, the consumption of sugar has increased at an unprecedented level. Sugar has been the cause of many serious health-related issues. When sugar is the cause of many health complications, sometimes it is said that the government should restrict sugar intake. However, others suggest that people themselves should be responsible for their habits.

Cases of type 2 diabetes and heart complications are directly linked to excessive sugar consumption. If the sugar level reaches an excessive level, various forms of diseases like diabetes and other heart diseases are obvious.

Actually, in the past, people were not addicted to calorie-rich foods, but recently, people have been busy with their work and do not have enough time to prepare food for themselves. Therefore, most people eat junk food and ruin their health.

It is a fact that sugar is the main culprit that causes many serious health complications. Despite this, government interference is simply not possible in present-day democracy. People should use their discretion and limit their intake of sugar so that they do not fall prey to it.
