WORKING WHILE STUDYING
It is a normal phenomenon for students to do part-time jobs while studying. Students can work in their free time. Nowadays, many international students work while studying abroad to meet their expenditures. I am a student and therefore I understand this phenomenon better than anyone does. A part-time job does not only support students financially but also in many other ways.
This is a wrong myth among students that part-time work hampers studies. This is not true. Many students have come up brilliantly when they still have part-time jobs. Part-time work actually helps students to grow as a more mature student. A part-time job helps students improve their communication skills. Working part-time jobs leads students to keep themselves active all the time.
By working part-time jobs, students can earn their pocket money. That makes them independent in life. They understand the value of time and also the value of money. Moreover, part-time work also teaches them how to be responsible in life.
At the same time, while working students can learn different kinds of skills. Experiences obtained from jobs can help them bring more success in the future. No one is born with a silver spoon in their mouth. When students start working while studying, they will understand what hard work is.
To some extent, that part-time job may indeed affect students' study hours. However, it is the student’s responsibility to manage their time between their job and studies. Another possible drawback may be if students start taking more interest in money matters, this can take them away from their studies.
To sum up, part-time work will certainly teach students many important life lessons. Possibly no other activity can teach them so much in life. There is a popular saying that time and tide wait for none. Similarly, working a part-time job brings many opportunities in life. Such opportunities cannot be slipped out of hands. These opportunities must be seized for future use.
