THE WRATH OF NATURE
Climate change has already given the world many ominous signs in the form of natural calamities. However, the world has not yet taken the early warning issued by nature seriously. This year’s massive floods almost across the world have stunned the governments of many developed nations. The world has become witness to the nasty floods that trounced cities in a matter of a few minutes. The governments of these powerful nations found themselves helpless.
Now is the time to take this issue seriously before it is too late. The environment must be protected at any cost. A healthy environment means life for all living creatures on earth and under water. If we mindlessly damage the environment by exploiting natural resources and pollution, then that day is not very far away when all living creatures might be wiped off this planet.
Before it is too late, an alternative to fossil fuels must be developed. Deforestation should be stopped outright. Alternative resources should be made available for the people living in the villages and in poverty. Industrialized countries should also stop those industries that pollute the environment.
Rich countries should assist poor countries by installing wind and solar power. The use of wind and solar energy can help countries become self-sufficient in the field of energy consumption.
It is my strong conviction that alternative energy resources must replace petroleum energy. Using alternative resources will have uncountable benefits, from economic benefits to environmental benefits. I am glad to write that Nepal has already started working to introduce electrical vehicles in the country. The use of fossil fuels has uncountable implications. Fossil fuel is the number-one enemy of the environment. The more we use fossil fuels, the more we damage the environment.
