Single Gender versus Coeducational Schools
Separate schools should be made for male and female genders or not. This subject has been in discussion for a long time. Different scholars have given their opinions about the subject.
Some scholars think that girls should have separate schools. If they study in a school where only girls are educated, this will create a conducive environment for better study. All girls in the school mean no mental diversion for them. This will create a better environment for girls to study in schools.
On the other hand, if boys and girls study together, there will be many physical, mental, and psychological issues among them. Boys and girls will definitely have sexual attraction, and this is a fact that nobody can deny. Each time the opposite sex comes closer, there will be sexual attraction.
In this way, if they spend more time with each other, they will end up having a sexual relationship as well. Can we say this will not happen? Because such things have already happened and will be happening in the future as well.
However, those scholars who support the idea of coeducation say that there is nothing wrong if boys and girls study together in the same school. This will do them more good than any harm. Boys and girls will have the opportunity to understand each other if they study at the same school. This coexistence will help them to understand their common habits. Such understanding will help boys and girls find a better life partner in the future.
In my opinion, I don’t see anything wrong if boys and girls study together in the same schools. Girls might have jealousy with girls, but they will not have such feelings against boys. In this manner, I can say that boys and girls can be good friends. They don’t mind helping each other. Thus, I conclude that boys and girls should study together, and a separate school for girls is absolutely not necessary.
