Is coeducation good or bad?
Many people believe that educating girls and boys separately will help them grow steadily. However, if they study in the same educational institutions, they will inevitably fall into the pit of physical attraction. This is bound to happen, as they grow older.
However, I believe educating boys and girls together will be more beneficial for their all-round mental, physical, and psychological development.
In the distant past, boys and girls were educated separately, but today there is no discrimination based on gender. Both boys and girls are educated together for all good reasons. Different studies have found that educating boys and girls together positively influences the mental aptitudes of boys and girls.
Educating boys and girls together always helps them to understand each other. However, if they are educated separately, the gap will be further widened, and they will never feel comfortable with each other. Thus, it is always advisable for boys and girls to study in coeducational institutions.
We live in a society where a family is made up of a father, mother, and siblings. In the family, all the siblings grow together without any problem. Then why do we need separate schools for boys and girls? This serious question needs everyone’s attention.
In the meantime, I think there may be certain courses that should be taught to boys and girls separately. I agree with that. For instance, it is better to open a separate nursing college for girls. Because mostly boys don’t show their interest in the study of nursing, but most girls prefer to study nursing. Similarly, a separate military college should be established for the boys. Mostly girls don’t show their interest in joining the military services.
Thus, it would be a good idea to bring both genders together under one educational roof so that they can understand each other in a better way possible. Let them communicate with each other so that they will have the opportunity to understand the different kinds of natures of opposite genders. This knowledge will certainly help them to begin a healthy family in the future.
